URS earns 5th Star Rating!

United Rehabilitation Services’ (URS) Early Childhood Education Program was awarded its 5th Star in the Step Up To Quality Program, a voluntary rating and improvement system for early learning and development programs in Ohio.  SUTQ LogoThe rating system allows licensed childcare providers to earn a rating of one to five stars by meeting an extensive list of quality benchmarks that exceed licensing standards, including low child-to-staff ratios, group size, accreditation, higher education qualifications requiring all teachers have at least a bachelors degree, specialized training, as well as improved early learning standards. “URS is committed to providing high-quality Early Childhood Education Programs so that ALL children are ready to learn when they enter Kindergarten regardless of the challenges they may face.” said Dennis Grant, Executive Director of URS. “We are proud to be only one of 12 centers locally to receive the highest rating of 5-Stars,” he added.

URS’ Education Programs are licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services and serve both typically developing and children with special needs, ages 6 weeks through 17 years of age. URS offers the only Childcare Programs locally with onsite Nursing Services to meet the needs of medically fragile children and specialized Therapy Services under one roof.  Services include programs for Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers, HeadStart and Early HeadStart, School-Age children (Before & After School), Latchkey Program for Children with Disabilities 12-17 years, Behavioral Health Services for children with Autism, Onsite Therapy Services, Full-Day Summer Camp Program, In-Home Respite Care and Parent Support Groups.
