Seeing is Believing!

A picture is worth a thousand words. Everyday we have the honor of supporting the most vulnerable individuals in our community and we are keenly focused on providing compassionate care that promotes independence and supports the children and adults we serve everyday.

We have learned to take nothing for granted and to celebrate the small miracles our clients experience. We can tell you your donation on Giving Tuesday will support children and adults with disabilities in our community.  We can tell you it will make a difference in their lives.  But SEEING IS BELIEVING!

We captured a small miracle in our infant room last week.  Grace is 22 months old and was born with Arthrogryposis, resulting in join contractures of all four limbs, fingers, wrists, shoulders, elbows and hips.  Gracie is unable to walk or grasp things with her hands the way a typical toddler can but she has learned to adapt.  She rolls where she wants to go and uses her mouth to play with toys, do puzzles and interact with her environment.  URS provides onsite Physical and Occupational Therapies while she attends the daycare program and has made tremendous progress thanks to the intensive therapy treatments she receives at URS.

Grace surprised everyone last Tuesday.  Take a moment to watch and prepare to be inspired!

Your gift to URS will make a difference to children like Grace…
