Summer Youth Program

The Summer Youth Work Experience is a mixture of hands-on training and vocational skill building to promote a student’s transition from school to working in the community.

Summer Youth is designed as a group experience or can be individualized to meet the specific needs or interests of each participant.

Skills include: communication, interpersonal skill building, exploring careers, filling out applications, how to build references, work appropriate behaviors, developing resumes, writing thank you letters, problem solving techniques, and rules and expectations at work, and preparing for the interview.

Paid work experiences can include dietary, landscaping, janitorial, maintenance, or retail.
