Many times when we are working to enhance the lives of the children and adults with disabilities who receive services from URS, our lives are changed as well. Some of our most exciting moments are seeing our clients reach their goals and achieve their dreams. Danny Wheeler is a great example of this.

Danny worked with one of our Job Developers in our Community Employment Department for quite some time, and then switched to our Customized Employment program to find the right job for him. Danny and Anne, Community Employment Supervisor at URS, worked together through the Discovery Process, a job development strategy to help you gain more knowledge about a person’s interests, skills and abilities. Through this program, Anne was able to negotiate a job for Danny at Veolia/Crown Water Solutions! They were very excited to have Danny join their team and created a position specifically for Danny to include his computer strengths! In July of this year, Danny will celebrate his 2nd Anniversary at Veolia/Crown Water Solutions!
One of the neatest things about Danny is his love of computers, DigiArt and writing! Danny has written many books and just got his THIRD book published this month and we couldn’t be more excited for him! Congratulations Danny!
